A Brief History Of The New School of Rock
On April 6th, 2006 in a tiny club in Pittsburgh, Juno Vega took the stage with less than 6 hours of rehearsal together....ever. What followed was a captivating experience for all who witnessed. Their synergistic chemistry and raw energy flowed into the crowd with such intensity, that the group felt compelled to explore the new realm of rock that lied before them.Their sound was so unconventional, yet so satisfying and refreshingly new, they decided to be pioneers in their very own style. A style called New School Rock n' Roll.

The group immediately hit the studio to record their research in this uncharted genre. Before they even decided on a name, Juno Vega was being played on local rock stations as one of Pittsburgh's hottest bands. The almost instant notoriety caught them by surprise, but didn't slow their goal to deliver a kick-ass sound, the likes of which were unheard of, to the masses. In August of 2007, Juno Vega released their debut album, "Surreal Thrill", a hard-hitting barrage of tunes that melodically and emphatically paint pictures of lust, grief, greed, pain, and the temporarily insane, to name a few. The album's refreshing sound caught the ears of Pittsburgh radio Station 105.9 the X, which played select tracks for their local music showcase.
