Welcome to another action-packed edition of the Juno Journal. Since last we spoke, we had quite a few shows and continue to book new ones. Recently, we took part in a benefit show to help a kid named Sean earn money to study abroad in Japan. Good luck, Sean. As many of you know, due to radio coverage, we played @ the Hard Rock Café for radio station 105.9 the X’s “Winter Rock Showcase”. As a result of age restrictions and bad weather, many of our fans couldn’t make it to the finals, but we still had fun and made a great impression on the packed house. Practically everyone there was hearing us for the first time, and we felt very well received. We made some new friends and sold some albums. Congrats to all the bands who performed that night. We even got our own Friday night show @ the Hard Rock on July 11th. We’re all real excited for the spring/summer. Our book is filling up quick and we can’t wait to rock out. For those who catch us @ Sheffield Lanes, we’ll be performing at the grand opening of their new downstairs club, Fallout, this coming Friday (March 21st). Otherwise, check our “Shows” page for a full listing of upcoming JV throw-downs. Our bus is still in Columbus, but N8 and a couple of his friends are making a trek out to bring it back. Hopefully, we’ll have the Juno Vega mobile up and running for some road-hitting this summer. That’s about it for this installment. Tune in next time for more tasty tidbits of JV knowledge and we hope to see you out and about @ one of our upcoming shows. We got some new material we’ll be throwin at ya, so be prepared. Peace!

Greetings all you Juno Vega fans!  Welcome to the first of many entries to our Juno Journal, where you'll get all the info that's fit to print and maybe a little that isn't....if you're lucky.  So let's get to it, shall we? I suppose the biggest news lately is our success in the X Winter Rock Showcase.  We had a great show Wednesday.  Much props to all the bands that played that night.  I'm sure the judges had a hard decision ahead of them. Well,JV came out on top and advanced to the finals, to be held Friday, March 7th @ the Hard Rock Cafe in station square.  We @ JV can't wait for the show.  We've got a couple of surprizes cookin' for the audience that night, so we hope YOU can be in attendence.  It'll be a show you'll regret missing, that's a promise. And thanx to those who came out Wed.

In other news.  Tim Benz from the X morning show has asked our very own Kristie to be on his show to talk about the finals and play a round of "Are You Smarter Than Juno Vega's Bassist".  To say the least, she's quite excited about it and perhaps a bit nervous too.  She doesn't want to make a fool of herself.  We assured her that she'll do just fine....as long as she doesn't mention her 11th toe :).  That's a joke.  She actually has 12.  Hee hee!

We've also got an exciting night of music coming this Saturday @ Thursdays in Bridgewater.  We're playing with Face Down Diaries, which, from what I hear, is quite heavy.  And also that night, you'll catch Casino from The Alumni, a hip hop cat.  What an eclectic evening; Metal, Rap, and New School Rock comin at ya.  Don't miss it!

Well, that's all I got for this time around.  We'll see you out and about.  Feel free to drop us a line and express your feelings about our sound.  We're always happy to hear from our fans, even if it's constructive criticism.  So remember, if you don't keep your ear to the ground, you'll never hear the buffalo coming in time to unfasten your roller skates. Peace, Love, and Rock n Roll!
